The examination clinic for breast cancer cases at King Fahd Hospital in Jazan, from its inception in 1438 AH to 1440 AH, received 2,672 auditors.
The supervisor of the clinic, consultant general and laparoscopic surgeon, Dr. Abdul Rahman Arishi, explained that by performing the necessary tests, 71 positive cases of breast cancer were discovered, including 50 cases that were first operated and then chemically treated, in addition to 21 cases that were first chemically treated and then operated.
"Arishi" added that there are 120 positive cases of benign tumors, which were surgically treated by a one-day clinic, in addition to 1,656 cases they did not have a complaint, they were examined and proven by examinations and examinations that they have no medical problems in the breast.
He pointed out that 615 cases were received with a medical complaint, they were treated conservatively after conducting the necessary examinations and radiology, and they have follow-up appointments at the clinic, and 210 cases have a family history, a follow-up program has been made for them to detect and dates for mammograms.
It is noteworthy that the breast cancer screening clinic receives patients without the need for a medical transfer, and it is available to everyone after noon every Thursday from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
