The activities of the summer school for medical research at King Khalid University, organized by the Consultative Office for Health Research "Research", which is the first of its kind in the region, concluded with the participation of more than 100 students of the university''s students for health specialties.
The head of the Consultative Office for Health Research "Research" at the Institute of Research and Consulting Studies at King Khalid University, Dr. Abdullah Abdul Mohsen Al-Sabaani, explained that the programs aim to make proposals and designs for health research and ensure that research meets the conditions of scientific research and ethics and develop research plans and mechanisms for implementation and review as well as plans and mechanisms for statistical and qualitative analysis For research, evaluation, criticism and review of scientific research, as well as assistance in writing and publishing scientific papers and reports and providing curricula, workshops and training courses on how health research works.
And the seventy said that the teaching and training system in the summer school for research goes through several stages that start with attending a set of lectures and workshops to train on how to conduct and manage health research and then distribute the trainees to research groups according to their desires and specialties so that a consultant from the same health specialization and a supervisor from the office supervise them, followed by writing a proposal An integrated research for each group summarizing a research project that is done during the summer and then completing the approval procedures of the concerned authorities to start research work and start collecting research data and analyzing them, interpreting research results and writing research abstracts and finally presenting the research summaries at the closing ceremony of the school.
It is worth noting that approximately 20 research proposals were submitted and were audited by specialized research ethics committees in the region and all of them were approved for conducting them.
