Business Initiative Directions (BID) has awarded the International Star Award for Quality Leadership for the year 2012 to the Council of Health Ministers of the Cooperation Council States, for the achievements that have been achieved and in the continuation of implementing international quality standards. The award was received by Dr. Tawfiq bin Ahmed Khoja - Director General of the Executive Office of the Council of Health Ministers of the Cooperation Council States in the grand annual meeting held in Paris, France during the period from June 24 to 25, 2012, in which the Excellence in Quality Award was distributed to more than (75) bodies. Governmental, company, corporation, and international organization in more than (50) countries around the world, and this award is given by leaders to leaders and presented by an institution called Business Initiative Directions (BID), which is a leading private organization in the world concerned with quality, which is rapidly growing in the world of business and communications. Its award (the International Europe Arch) to many institutions, companies and organizations from "178" countries since 1986 AD over a quarter of a century.

On this occasion, the Director General of the Executive Office delivered a speech during the ceremony in which he expressed his happiness for the global appreciation he had received and for obtaining the Council of Health Ministers of the Cooperation Council States and its Executive Office, praise and thanks to God, for this award and for being among this distinguished elite of representatives of businessmen, companies, institutions and organizations distinguished from more than ( 70) countries, and he pointed out that granting this international certificate is a recognition of the generous care that this council receives from the rulers of the matter, may God preserve them in the GCC countries, and a culmination of the efforts made over the past years and the improvement of work procedures and the preparation of standard evidence, as it reflects the pioneering position of many Among the activities and programs that are always supported by their Majesties and Highnesses, the leaders of the Member States
