Her Highness Princess Samira bint Abdullah bin Faisal Al-Farhan, Chair of the Autism Families Association and President of the Saudi Society for Schizophrenia, inaugurated this evening the second regional conference on public health under the title "healthy lifestyles, in the presence of a group of doctors specializing in various fields, at the Holiday Inn Palace Hotel." The speech ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, after which Her Highness Princess Samira bint Abdullah delivered a speech in which she welcomed the attendees, explaining the role of the Autism Families Association and its objectives in helping people with autism, demanding their rights, supporting families, training them, and opening specialized centers for them.
Her Highness referred to the Society’s achievements, highlighting the role of the Schizophrenia Association in embracing the families of schizophrenics and claiming their rights and the achievements made. Seven families of the Schizophrenia Society’s beneficiaries were handed over their homes, thanking the conference president and all the supporters and volunteers.
Then the Secretary General of the Association of Arab Hospitals and the President of the Saudi Epidemiology Society, Dr. Tawfiq bin Ahmed Khoja, gave a speech in which he explained that the importance of participating in this conference came from the World Health Organization’s definition of health that it is the state of the body’s enjoyment of well-being in its complete physical, mental, psychological and social forms, and not just Freedom from disease or resignation to disability, and includes many aspects, and the aspects covered by the definition of health.
He stated that the health care that any country provides to its citizens reflects the strength of this country, its pride in the people, and its vision of them as a human wealth that is no less than any other wealth, but rather they are the main wealth that achieves all other wealth, pointing out that since the order of the founder, King Abd, was issued Dear Al Saud - may God have mercy on him - with the establishment of the Public Health Authority in 1925 in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, and soon after the establishment of the Public Health and Ambulance Directorate with the aim of taking care of health and environment affairs and working to establish hospitals and health centers throughout the Kingdom, and the Saudi health sector is witnessing development and civilized health transfers Unprecedented to our time in the era of the King of determination
At the end of the ceremony, the participants in the conference were honored, as Her Highness Princess Samira bint Abdullah handed over the shields to the participants, and the accompanying exhibition was opened, which included the participation of charitable societies and other bodies.
