Under the patronage of the Governor of Aseer Region, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdulaziz, the fourth annual conference of rheumatology was held at the Abha Palace Hotel, where the Director General of Health Affairs in Aseer Region, Dr. Ibrahim bin Sulaiman Al-Hafzi, on Thursday evening, opened the activities of the conference organized by the Saudi Society of Rheumatology in cooperation with General Directorate of Health Affairs, Aseer Region.
This was explained to "the model", the media spokesperson for Asir health, Mr. Saeed bin Abdullah Al-Naqir, indicating that a speech ceremony had been prepared that began with the Holy Quran, followed by the speech of the President of the Conference, Dr. Al-Hussein Bin Muhammad Asiri, then the speech of the President of the Saudi Society of Rheumatology, Dr. Hussein Halabi, and then a speech to the sponsor of the ceremony .
In conclusion, Dr. Al-Hafizi, along with the guests, toured the exhibition accompanying the conference.
On the other hand, the conference president, Dr. Hussein bin Muhammad Al-Asiri said that the conference will last for 3 days and highlight a number of themes. On the first day, developments in the treatment of rheumatoid disease and complications of joint diseases associated with HIV infection (AIDS) and the latest developments and developments in Vasculitis and latest developments in autoimmune scleroderma and myositis.
On the second day, (8) workshops were held in various rheumatology specialties, in addition to a session on the latest developments in the treatment of SLE.
At the end of the conference, a working paper was presented on pregnancy and rheumatic diseases, and recommendations were then announced.
Dr. Al-Asiri pointed out that there is a parallel conference in the same period for pediatric rheumatism within the conference activities.
