A Saudi doctor refused to postpone a sick operation, despite his entitlement to the National Day holiday, and he and his medical team performed two successful surgeries. Although it was a bloody day for him, Saudi consultant Iyad Al-Kharashi succeeded in removing a tumor from a woman who has been suffering for 15 years in a government hospital in Riyadh. Al-Kharashi told "mbc.net": For 4 years, we have been working on our official leave due to the necessity of operations, and the danger of postponing some of them, and upon knowing that one of my patients’s operation was delayed for a month, I asked the Operations Department to form the necessary staff to conduct the operation. The necessary savings were made, and two operations were performed as well. ”He added,“ The disease has grown rapidly in the past weeks, causing extensive pain to the patient, and great weight as a result of his weight. ”
Dr. Iyad Al-Kharashi and Dr. Khaled Al-Hajri called on the hospital administration to provide the necessary team of nurses and anesthesiologists to conduct the procedure, and the team succeeded in eradicating a tumor measuring 26 cm in size and weighing 2.2 kg.
The doctor posted on one of the social networks, "This is my national day. A tumor weighing 2.2 kilograms was removed from the chest of a patient, thank God, things have eased."
