aviation needs evaluation and treatment intervention

Dr. Samira Ali Al-Ghamdi, a consultant psychiatrist for children, adolescents and adults, confirmed to “Khabar Al-Youm” that the phobia of aviation is like the same as various anxiety disorders, which are in urgent need of evaluation and pharmacological therapeutic interventions, whether they are pharmacological or psychological sessions such as cognitive behavioral therapy and others.

Dr. Samira added that aviation phobia is a type of phobia, or anxiety that disturbs those who suffer from it, to the extent that it may amount to avoiding flying even if the need arises, and other travel paths are absent.

Noting that anxiety in all its forms and manifestations is very painful and it is not easy to overcome it by simply advising those who suffer from it to be courageous, resist and ignore it ... ... etc. Indeed, these advice from the public may carry more pain and inconvenience because it reflects the lack of feeling in them and what they are suffering !!

And she continued by saying that the phobia of aviation is like the same as the various anxiety disorders that are in urgent need of evaluation, and therapeutic interventions were pharmacological or psychological sessions such as cognitive behavioral therapy and others.

Samira pointed out that whoever determines the quality and duration of treatment must be a specialist in this field, some cases actually need medical intervention, and the treating psychiatrist is the one who prescribes these safe medicines based on international scientific evidence.

Dr. Samira concluded her speech by saying that everyone who suffers from anxiety needs to face it and treat it with the correct scientific methods and to support the whole community and feel it and its suffering that no one is able to appreciate like him.
