The Fourth International Conference of the Saudi Scientific Association of Plastic Surgery and Burns (SSAPS) was inaugurated by Prof Adnan H. Zahed, KAU Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, on Tuesday February 3rd at the main auditorium of KAU Hospital.
The event- to be held from 3-7 February- is organized by SSAPS in collaboration with the Plastic Surgery Unit.
Prof Zahed lauded SSAPS's arduous efforts to intensify its scientific activities with an eye to promote scientific research in the field.
Participation in the conference will promote the various specialties of reconstructive plastic surgery, he also said.
According to Dr Sabah Moshref, SSAPS's President, participants from France, Germany, England, Italy, China, Egypt, Lebanon and GCC countries are scheduled to attend the event.
Key topics to be discussed in the conference include fat grafting, facial surgery, congenital abnormalities and reconstructive burn surgeries, breast surgery, body contouring, genital aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, hand and upper extremity, reconstructive and microsurgery, in addition to laser therapy live cases, and a residents forum, said Dr Moshref.
