Al-Amal Complex in Riyadh organizes a lecture on lessons learned
From the experiences of others in preventing addiction
Dr. Abdullah bin Muhammad Al Sharqi, Consultant Psychiatrist at Al Amal Complex for Mental Health in Riyadh, gave a lecture entitled (Lessons Learned from Others'' Experiences in Addiction Prevention) on Sunday 6/6/1427 AH in the Great Lecture Hall of the Complex. Dr. Abdullah Al-Sharqi talked about the importance of the topic and the problems related to it, as well as the requirements of prevention programs, including: knowing the nature of the problem, the extent of its spread, the groups most vulnerable to its use, as well as the factors that increase its use, as well as the requirements for formulating prevention programs and the basic principles of drug prevention programs.
After that, the number of protective factors at the personal level, family, school and community, and showed that these factors must be presented at an early age with the importance of using them in the period of childhood and adolescence. At the end of the lecture, he mentioned prevention and infection factors from drugs and preparing appropriate programs to solve the problem.
