a patient that took "7" hours at the new Jeddah National Hospital

Led by Dr. Ayman Langawi

A specialized medical team led by Dr. Ayman Langawi, consultant general surgery at the new Jeddah National Hospital, has succeeded in performing a surgery to eradicate a tumor for a patient suffering from a tumor in the left kidney who suffers from blood pressure, diabetes, heart and respiratory diseases as well as a weight of 120 kg.

The medical team noticed that performing the operation through the surgical opening will lead to more complications, as the surgical opening will be in the upper abdomen and the last rib or two ribs will be removed from the chest cage so that the surgeon can remove the tumor.

The medical team decided that the best solution is to remove the tumor through a laparoscope, and when the patient came to the hospital, he was suffering from a lung infection, and he presented him to the chest consultant, Dr. Sherif Refaat, who did a full examination and recommended postponing the operation for 10 days while giving the patient certain drugs, and this is what happened also with Dr. The heart, and after the patient’s condition became stable and ready for surgery, the operation was performed today, and praise be to God, it culminated in success after it lasted "7" continuous hours in which the medical team made distinguished efforts that led to its success.
