Polycystic ovary syndrome is common among women of childbearing age. 20% of cases are detected by ultrasound, and 10% of all women suffer from symptoms of PCOS. The most common symptoms associated with PCOS are unwanted hair growth, irregular menstruation and delayed bleaching.

There is no radical treatment for PCOS, but the associated symptoms are treated based on the patient''s priorities. If the patient wants to have children, stimuli are treated. During the course of treatment, whitening is closely monitored to reduce the risk of developing ovarian overresponsiveness. Because these patients are more likely to have hyperresponsiveness when using hormonal drugs used to treat delayed childbearing.

Hyperresponsiveness may occur with stimulation in all stages, from timing of a marital relationship to IVF to IVF. And most dangerous with IVF.

One of the modern methods in reproductive medicine to avoid over-response cases in cyst patients is In Vitro Maturation (IVM), which is considered by experts as an native to the traditional In Vitro Fertilization technique known as IVF.

Dr. Nariman Al-Tariri, a consultant of obstetrics, gynecology and infertility at the Zariah Medical Center, said that the aforementioned technique has made a great leap in assisted reproduction methods,

Whereas, the method used in the treatment of delayed childbearing cases through traditional IVF in which the ovaries are stimulated by injection of hormones to produce the largest possible number of eggs that grow inside the ovary, then the mature eggs are taken from the ovaries to be fertilized with the husband''s sperm in the laboratory. They have a strong response to these drugs, so the ovaries produce eggs in large numbers, which was previously referred to as hyperresponsiveness, which is an unwanted condition that occurs because of its complications, which may require canceling the treatment course to avoid the development of such complications.

IVM may be useful in cases of polycystic ovaries, and it may also be used in other cases, including a poor response to medications.

In this technique, and after modifications to the scientific protocols, in addition to the additions and modifications that have been introduced to the laboratories, it became possible to make s and changes in the process of transferring the egg from the stage of immaturity to the stage of maturity outside the body.

These immature eggs are extracted and kept in special solutions and incubators for a period of approximately 24 hours until they mature, and then injected into the husband''s sperms using the egg ICSI technique, then the formed embryos are returned to the mother''s womb.

Dr. Nariman Al-Tariri has achieved success in cases that suffered from delayed childbearing for a period ranging from 6 to 9 years with IVM technology at the Atomic Medical Center.

One of the advantages of this technique is that it is possible to dispense with the use of hormonal drugs or use very simple doses, thus avoiding some complications associated with its use.

This technique is considered a promising method that will be the best in the future for IVF, although it is still the most difficult for such cases so far.

At the present time, the IVM method is considered one of the most important treatment methods for cases suffering from polycystic ovaries and for patients who have previously undergone conventional fertilization and did not succeed in addition to patients who suffer from severe ovarian weakness.

The specialists believe that this method will reduce the patient’s suffering in addition to its other internationally known advantages.
