Under the patronage of His Excellency the Director of King Abdulaziz University, Prof. Dr. Osama Sadiq Tayeb, the Saudi Scientific Society for Plastic Surgery and Burns holds its fourth international conference for plastic surgery and burns during the period from 24-26 / 3/1434 AH corresponding to 5-7 / 2/2013 AD at King Abdulaziz University Hospital in Jeddah Sabah Musharraf (President of the Society and President of the Conference) that the conference will witness the participation of professors and scientists specializing in plastic surgery from: Italy, France, Spain, Germany, America and many Arab countries such as: Egypt, Lebanon and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, in addition to Saudi professors and consultants.
The conference will discuss many important and delicate topics in the field of plastic surgery, such as surgeries to repair congenital anomalies such as cleft lip and palate, rhinoplasty, reconstructive and complementary surgery to restore tissues and organs affected by accidents and burns, and to replace organs removed from cancerous tumors such as breast reconstruction. The conference also discusses topics of modern surgeries and advanced techniques used in the treatment of malformations, blood and pigment birthmarks and tissue sagging, such as modern laser technology of all kinds, fat injection technology and its uses in the field of plastic surgery and repair of deformities and the lack of some tissues resulting from injuries, burns, and congenital defects to compensate for the deficiency and tissues. Fat cells are obtained by suctioning them from the body.
