Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, the activities of the eleventh scientific conference of the Saudi Society for General Surgery will be launched today, Tuesday, at Le Meridien Al-Khobar Hotel in the Eastern Province, and will last for a period of 3 days.
The conference will have the participation of speakers from all regions of the Kingdom and international speakers from the United States, the United Kingdom, South Korea, the Netherlands and Egypt, in the presence of specialized and trained surgeons in surgery, medical students and doctors in specialties related to the conference topics such as anesthesiology, health management and the relevant nursing staff.
The Chairman of the Organizing Supervisory Committee of the Conference, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Society for General Surgery, Dr. Abdul-Malik bin Muhammad Salih Al-Taf, explained that the conference will discuss the concept of improving recovery after surgery for the first time with the aim of introducing this concept to the Kingdom and keeping pace with some developed countries in applying this concept to activate surgical health services and improve efficiency, effectiveness and quality. And productivity at the level of health service, service and productivity of different sectors by improving recovery and returning workers to work more quickly, and this results in great economic benefit as well. In its second axis, the conference will discuss techniques and methods of surgery with simple interventions that work side by side with the focus of the first conference to achieve the aforementioned goals. Dr. Abdul-Malik Al-Taf said that this specialized scientific conference is characterized by the participation of a number of prominent surgeons, including heads of surgical scientific societies in several countries, including Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and Jordan, in addition to the president of the European Society of Endoscopic Surgery.
He revealed that the author will have the participation of international speakers from the United States of America, the United Kingdom, South Korea, the Netherlands and Egypt, in addition to prominent speakers from different parts of the Kingdom in various specialties of general surgery.
