Al-Ayyun has its stories in the Arab memory since ancient times, as the word (Ain) hardly passes through our ears until Jarir appears to us - with what was said to be the most beautiful of what was written in the yarn - (The eyes at the end of which are Hour), and since Jarir has not been associated in my memory with anything but the word Dr. Salwa Al-Hazaa, and the distance between the scientific and literary view may be very wide, for the son of the desert sees swords, raids and Azawi in the eyes, and the son of the sea sees drowning in its coasts, and the lover sees in them the two extremes that are lost and the homeland. In one place, we may say that the eye in our literary and artistic memory is our view of the eye of the other, that is, its effect, while medicine wonders how the eye itself sees things?

And when the gaze begins to bother and deceive its owner as he does to me, it is natural for my mind to turn away from discussing the aesthetics of Jarir''s poem, and automatically think about Dr. Salwa Al-Hazaa, almost the same event - albeit in another form - that Salwa remembers and was the most important juncture, when she returned with her five sisters from The United States accompanied her parents on a normal day as it seems, but the words of a friend of her parents who greeted them that day at the airport and spontaneous words: (If your daughters were children, they would have a stake in society), ordinary words, perhaps if the young woman did not accept them differently, these words ignited the flame of the challenge To prove that she (the girl) is able to contribute to building her country and the people of her homeland, and because of the father''s desire that his daughters not move away from him, Salwa gave up her dream of a different specialization and chose ophthalmology, after graduation and in that era, the woman’s work raised suspicion, and many thorny questions were The family avoids speaking out about the daughter’s profession for fear of the rejectionist community’s authority at the time, but the ambition does not end, and the facilitation comes in negligence to achieve your ambition. Fate brings Salwa back to the United States again, and with her husband this time, there she devotes her life to continuing her education Mai, with tireless effort and obtained a number of fellowships in her specialization, to return to her homeland and achieve a number of priorities that correspond to her uniqueness, so she became a professor of ophthalmology and the first Saudi female doctor to receive the award for the best scientific research from the Saudi Society of Ophthalmology, and the award for the best Arab woman in the field Medicine and community services for the year 2005 from the Center for Arab Women Studies in Paris. The Saudi ophthalmologist has published nearly 63 international research papers. She is also a member of 16 local and international societies. She was awarded the title of “Physician of the Five Continents” from the World Eye Council. 2010 She was awarded the Medal of the International Council of Ophthalmology, and she was chosen by Forbes magazine as the most famous Arab woman in 2006, and she was among the most influential Arab women for the year 2005, and in 1997 she was nominated by the Marquis list to be among the 14 most influential people around the world.

Her name is not afraid of everyone, and the narration of her accomplishments is no secret, but here we just wanted to thank her for our way as a Saudi pioneer.
