An international conference on the second of next Rajab will discuss developments in ophthalmology, with the participation of a group of specialized doctors. Serene Jawharji, head of the ophthalmology department at Dr.Soliman Fakih Hospital, explained that the conference sheds light on cataract and peaceful ways to treat the most difficult cases and obtain the best results, as well as discuss LASIK vision correction and lens implants to correct eyesight.
She noted that the conference also discusses femtosecond laser technology in removing cataracts and treating deviation, as well as discussing allergic diseases, dry eyes and the latest developments in treating such common diseases, and also deals with retinal diseases and surgeries and treatment of retinal injuries by intraocular injection.
Joharji added that the conference aims to enhance the skill of doctors and all segments working in this field, as it attracts high competencies and global and local expertise, thus opening horizons for scientific cooperation and exchange of experiences.
She indicated that the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties approved the conference with 18 hours of continuing medical education.
