conference for maxillofacial surgery
The Saudi professor Dr. Othman bin Salem Al-Tuwairqi, consultant maxillofacial surgery at the King Abdulaziz Medical City in the National Guard and a visiting professor at the University of Maryland and Washington, is participating in the International Conference of Experts for Oral Surgery and Modification of Facial Deformities related to Congenital and Non-congenital Damages, which will be held in the United States of America, and includes the participation of Dr. Presenting a lecture on awareness and updating of experiences for the medical team at the two universities.
Dr. Al-Tuwairqi also participates in the African Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery conference in South Africa. He also presents a working paper in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi on the surgery of facial deformities related to accidents and the associated problems of damage to blood vessels.
It should be noted that Dr. Al-Tuwairqi is one of the Saudi doctors who have recorded a global presence in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery, and he also participated in major operations in the United States of America for maxillofacial transplantation. The last operation in which Dr. Al-Tuwairqi participated was the famous face transplant operation that took place at the University of Maryland last March, in which he participated with the medical team, during which the entire face and jaws were transplanted to a patient due to congenital anomalies.
