Today, Friday, 08/29/2014 AD, the Health Awareness Department at the Al-Hakeem Eye Specialist Center in Riyadh is organizing an awareness-raising exhibition on the prevention of common eye diseases, such as intraocular hypertension, cataracts and diabetic retinopathy, which will be in Panorama Mall in Riyadh, under the slogan: Al-Hakama "on the occasion of the opening of the new Al-Hakama branch located in Al-Olaya - Al-Takhassusi Street - opposite Panorama Mall.
The Assistant Medical Director, Dr. Ahmed bin Abdul Razzaq Al-Saleh, indicated that the exhibition will include many activities, activities and free examinations targeting all groups and segments of society, including patients and visitors.
He added, in a press statement, that the exhibition will highlight the importance of regular eye examination, and common eye diseases, how to treat them, and measures that must be taken to prevent them, will be addressed.
He explained that the most important of those diseases that will be highlighted are: glaucoma disease, "internal high pressure", cataract, retinopathy, retinal detachment, strabismus, and lazy eye.
Dr. Ahmed bin Abdul Razzaq Al-Saleh stated that the center’s management is always keen to participate in such health events that will enhance the health of the individual and society. He added that visitors to the exhibition will have the opportunity to examine vision and internal eye pressure, and then to examine the eyes by a number of doctors and specialists, from 4 pm until 11 pm.
The doctor said that on the sidelines of the exhibition, a mobile awareness caravan will be set up around the mall to reach the largest possible segment of people aiming to enlighten society and raise the level of health awareness about eye health and treatment and preventive measures for eye diseases causing blindness or visual impairment, and added that publications and other educational materials will be distributed For patients and visitors of the exhibition, as well as offering prizes to the winners through educational competitions.
This participation comes as part of the efforts of the Al-Hokama Eye Center to contribute to many activities within the framework of its social responsibility and national duty.
