The "Public Health" program hosts Dr. Abdul Ilah Al-Hawsawi, a consultant and principal professor of public transport in organ transplantation, liver, pancreatic and bile duct surgery, and an expert in medical quality and safety to open an organ transplant file.

Dr. Abdul Ilah Al-Hawsawi pointed out that the need for organ transplantation comes when the organ is almost completely damaged. Usually, he transplanted the heart, kidneys, liver, or others. But the brain remains the only organ that medicine has so far not been able to replace with another.

Dr. Abdul Ilah Al-Hawsawi informed us about the development of medical studies and research in our days, as specialists managed to regenerate brain cells in the spinal cord or in any other organ in the body by transplanting stem cells, which is the mother cell that begins to form in the fetus and it is in the mother’s abdomen, Which in turn divide and produce different cells that form organs.

Finally, Dr. Abdulilah Al-Hawsawi noted that the percentage of donors who are not relatives is still very small, so it is very important to conduct medical education and education in this field to contribute to saving the lives of people who are infected and who wait months or sometimes years before obtaining the organ that they need.
