A girl in the second decade of life regained her ability to eat and drink, thanks to God, and then through the efforts of an integrative medical team at King Abdullah Medical City in the Holy Capital, after suffering from lymph fluid leakage around the lung, after abstaining from eating and drinking for a period of more than two months. In the details, the patient was visiting a medical authority for a repair of the thoracic aorta, and due to the proximity and adhesion of the lymph channels to the part of the operation concerned, there was a leak of lymph fluid after the operation, up to 2 liters per day. The patient was subjected to diet, medical drugs and surgery, but it did not help.
She was transferred to King Abdullah Medical City, where she was immediately accepted to speed the rescue of the patient.
In view of the scarcity of this type of cases in the region, the medical team consisting of the two teams of thoracic surgery led by Dr. Abdel Nasser Batuq and the interventional radiology, led by Dr. Al-Mamoun Jastneh, met and agreed on the method of treatment and explained its details to the patient.
The case was prepared in the operating room, where it was decided to perform it without surgery, by means of interventional radiology with the help of the anesthesia team led by (Dr. Alaa), where Dr. Justinia ed a small catheter from the abdomen less than a millimeter in size and directed it under the radiation to the labyrinthine duct that was closed by injection of special medical gum For such cases, the leakage gradually stopped with him, and the process ended with complete success, as the patient was able to drink the first cup of water and ate the first bite of food after a fasting that lasted for nearly two months, after which she recovered and went out to her home while she is in good health and wellness.
