It is noteworthy that the obesity center at King Abdulaziz Specialist Hospital in Taif, headed by the consultant Khaled Al-Sharif, was accredited by the General Administration of Specialized Centers and visiting doctors at the Ministry of Health.

The recognition of the center came after the hospital passed the evaluation stage conducted by the committee in charge of the Ministry of Health, and it succeeded in applying the standards approved by the ministry.

The center started its work as a "unit" about two years ago, and made great strides by achieving high rates in the number of surgeries, with a success rate of 100% Which had a positive impact on the success of the hospital unit operation plan The administration approved it and supported its implementation until the unit was recognized as a specialized obesity center This will have a positive effect on serving obese patients.
