the Maternity and Children Hospital in Al-Ahsa
The Director of Health Affairs in Al-Ahsa Governorate, Abdul Hamid bin Abdullah Al-Omair, inaugurated yesterday the unit for the processing of intravenous fluids and clinical nutrition, at the Maternity and Children Hospital in Al-Ahsa, in the presence of the Director of the Hospital, Dr. Abdul Hamid bin Abdul Mohsen Al-Bunyan, and a number of health affairs officials in Al-Ahsa.
The intravenous solutions processing unit and clinical nutrition is the first of its kind at the level of the Ministry of Health hospitals in the governorate, as it was designed with the highest standards of accuracy and sterilization, and it conformed to the global recommendations of American and European pharmacy organizations.
The intravenous solutions room covers the hospital’s needs of intravenous drugs in addition to mixing intravenous nutrition solutions (TPN) through the use of an automatic mixing device to ensure accuracy in preparation and obtaining the highest levels of sterilization of the prepared solution.
