Ibtisam Al-Ahmad, Director of the Department of Special Education for Education in Riyadh, stated that the Kingdom''s government pays great attention to the category of persons with disabilities, starting with providing measurement and diagnostic centers and units in all education offices in Riyadh. One of its tasks is to diagnose and measure female students from the special education categories to determine the appropriate place to serve them and to provide the services they need throughout the school year.

Al-Ahmad added: These units conduct survey visits to the kindergarten stage to determine the appropriate programs and services for children at this stage, which are important for early intervention.

And she continued: These units seek to integrate the work of the team and provide counseling and awareness services to the families of students, as the family is a key element in the team, as well as providing services to school personnel from general education and special education.

It is also keen to educate the family on ways to deal with children with disabilities and methods of behavior modification for special education cases to contain them.

Al-Ahmad noted that the expansion of measurement units contributed to reducing the financial and physical burden on parents, especially that the city of Riyadh is vast.
