pediatric medicine and surgery
The activities of the first scientific conference of pediatric and neonatal medicine and surgery, which was held over a period of 3 days, concluded in the lecture hall of the Mental Health Hospital in Qurayyat, and was inaugurated and sponsored by Prince Faisal bin Nawwaf bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Jouf Region, during his recent visit to Qurayyat.
A number of specialized speakers in the field of pediatrics from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Jordan participated in the conference, in addition to a group of lecturers from various hospitals and medical centers from outside the Kingdom.
The conference was accredited with 30 hours of continuous medical education, and the number of papers presented in most pediatric specialties was 27 lectures.
Within the activities of the conference, a workshop on pediatric cardiac conditions was held, headed by the consultant pediatric heart in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Saad Al-Youssef.
Qurayyat Health launched the first forum for newborn pediatricians, which is sponsored and supported by the Saudi Society of Neonatology, headed by Professor Abdul Rahman Al-Nimri, President of the Saudi Society of Neonatal Medicine, with the aim of training and developing medical personnel in the field of pediatrics and childhood health.
