Buraidah Central Hospital has achieved the record among hospitals in the region, in the total number of one-day surgeries, as well as gastric cuts and ligation and liposuction for obese patients, according to the region''s statistics. The total number of surgeries in the year 1434 AH reached 2,496 cases, and the rate of day surgery was 59% of the total number of operations. Since obesity has now become a pathological condition and has its symptoms, the hospital began to perform gastric cutting and ligation operations, where Dr. Maneh Al-Bulaihi, consultant general surgery and head of the hospital''s surgical departments and the medical director, performed this type of operation. With the grace of God, solutions to the problems and complications of obesity were developed for more than 300 patients during the past two years.
