It is the placement of the sperm that were prepared in the laboratory inside the uterine cavity at the time of ovulation to automatically fertilize the egg in the fallopian tubes.

The IVF process begins with evaluating the patient on the second or third day of menstruation, conducting an ultrasound, and then starting to stimulate the ovaries with stimulant drugs if necessary.

Ovulation is monitored on the twelfth day of the cycle by means of an ultrasound, and when the egg reaches the appropriate size (approximately 18 mm), then we give the patient a needle that contains a stimulating hormone, which helps the egg exit, and its name is known as (the explosive needle).

We ask the husband to bring a sample of the semen and deliver it to the laboratory 36 hours after the stimulation needle is given to prepare it (wash it) and condense the sperm, then put it in a special glass tube.

The prepared semen sample is transferred directly into the uterine cavity by a special catheter, noting that the sample transfer process usually takes 10 to 15 minutes and is painless.
