Al-Baha
King Fahd Hospital in Al-Bahah received an emergency patient from a peripheral hospital in an unstable condition after suffering severe injuries that led to a laceration in the left part of the liver, a breakthrough in the stomach, four penetrations of the intestine and a laceration of the transverse and descending colon. The patient was treated with an amount of blood and medical solutions and some initial checks were completed. The surgical intervention was performed on the same day under the leadership of Dr. Thamer Al-Ghamdi, consultant of general and visceral surgery, where he performed an operation for the patient in which the third part of the liver was removed, the bleeding was stopped, the stomach was re-repaired from the front and the back, and two sites of the small intestine were removed and reconnected again, as well as the excision of the left colon .
The patient was placed under observation in intensive care for several days until his condition stabilized, and then he was transferred to admission until he recovered and was discharged from the hospital in good condition, praise be to God.
