Dr. Sultan Al-Dhiab, a consultant dentist, explained that the presence of plaque on the teeth leads to the loss and erosion of minerals in the enamel layer.
Al-Dhiyab added, in a tweet on his Twitter account, “After that, holes begin to form, and then acids and bacteria will move to the second layer of the tooth (ivory).”
