The Board of Directors of Al Madinah Society for Genetic Blood Diseases in Al Madinah Al Munawwarah held its ninth meeting in its third session chaired by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, His Excellency Dr. Muhammad Zallali, and the presence of his deputy, Dr. Muhammad Al-Balawi, the Secretary-General, Dr. Turki Al-Wasidi, and the Treasurer, Dr. Waheed Turkistani and two council members d. Hamed Al Shweikan and Prof. Anwar Abdullah
The meeting of the Board of Directors began with a speech by His Excellency the Chairman of the Board, Dr. Mohamed Zallali welcomed the members and reviewed the society’s progress in the past year and its achievements, in addition to presenting the degree of governance achieved, amounting to 98.5%, as a result of the efforts of the Council and the work team to activate many systems and policies. The meeting also included an introductory presentation on governance given by the cooperating executive director A. Ahmed Al-Ahmadi to the gentlemen of the members, through which the definition of governance, its objectives, and standards, in addition to providing an explanation of the policy of suspicion of money laundering operations and terrorist financing crimes and the means to prevent them, with the aim of reaching distinction in the corridors of the association.
