in the health simulation awareness week.

The Simulation and Skills Development Center at Princess Nourah Bint Abdul Rahman University is participating in the International Awareness Week for Health Simulation for the fourth time in a row on Monday, September 14, 2020, for four days, by providing free training courses (remotely) to raise awareness of the importance of simulation in the health field.

The event included a series of training courses offered to those interested in simulation education, in conjunction with the health simulation awareness week. Including: “Introduction to Joint Medical Education” presented by the clinical simulation trainer, Professor Ohoud Al-Otaibi, which talks about how to enhance the transfer of medical information in a systematic and highly professional manner, including defining the introduction to education between professionals as an educational approach to enhance the learning experience and identifying four basic introductions to the competencies of education among professionals In addition to familiarization with the basic elements of Sim-IPE scenarios.

It includes the course “The Mechanism of Using Standard Patients During the Corona Pandemic” and deals with the appropriate method in determining the mechanism of using standard patients during the pandemic and natives to physical examination. And finally, the course “How to Ensure the Quality of Health Simulation Scenarios” presented by Professor Ibrahim Al-Salama - a standard patient specialist - during which he talked about setting quality standards for designing a simulation scenario and identifying the main steps of the simulation quality assurance protocol.

On the other hand, the Executive Director of the Simulation and Skills Development Center, Dr. Maad bin Faisal Al-Saati, expressed the importance of participating in this event to contribute to raising awareness about the importance of health simulation and to improve the safety and effectiveness of health care delivery, as well as to educate all workers in health education and training about the importance of health simulation.

It is noteworthy that the Simulation and Skills Development Center provides programs for female students that contribute to raising the level of education, as they enable them to apply the expected hypotheses using the latest devices and technologies available for medical simulation and virtual reality.
