“Saleh bin Hamza Serafi Chair for Coronary Arterial Disease Research”
His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Dr. Abdullah Bafail, signed in his office today the contract for the establishment of the “Saleh bin Hamza Serafi Research Chair in Coronary Artery Diseases” with the representative of the Saleh Hamza Serafi Charitable Foundation, Hamza bin Saleh Serafi, in the context of supporting research related to coronary artery diseases and searching for their causes. Awareness of its dangers to citizens, residents, pilgrims and pilgrims.
His Excellency the President of the University stressed that the chair is an extension of the research chairs that the university supervises and has achieved many scientific achievements, congratulating the establishment of this scientific chair that supports the partnership between the university and civil society institutions in general and businessmen in particular, and contributes to achieving sustainable development, noting what the university enjoys. In turn, professor of the chair, Dr. Abdel Halim Salem Serafi, explained that the scientific chair seeks to conduct research to find out the causes that lead to coronary artery diseases It is the number one cause of death in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and even in the whole world, providing specialized scientific advice, and cooperating with similar scientific bodies inside and outside the Kingdom in the field of the scientific chair.
And he indicated that the chair aims to educate citizens and residents to avoid coronary artery disease by following a healthy lifestyle with proper nutrition and proper exercise, as well as with regard to pilgrims and Umrah pilgrims, in accordance with the objectives of the Kingdom''s vision towards a better healthy society 2030.
