and pay attention to immunization against Corona
The Secretary-General of the Federation of Arab Hospitals, Professor Tawfiq bin Ahmed Khoja, called on members of society not to preoccupy the mind with the strains of Corona, including “Delta and Delta Plus”, and to pay attention to immunization and apply precautionary measures.
He said, that the Corona virus is considered the worst and fiercest virus in human history, as it has so far infected 180 million and 800 thousand people, and killed 3 million and 917,000 people on the level of the planet, and these numbers have not been recorded definitively in any previous epidemics, and the seriousness of the virus and its strains lies the speed of the virus spreading.
He pointed out that the Corona virus still continues its activity through mutations through the production of new strains and not new viruses, as mutated strains are a copy of the virus that includes a group of mutations, that is, changes in its genetic material, and in fact, the emergence of mutated copies of the virus is not a new matter, but rather a process. Natural, because the virus mutates over time to ensure its survival.
Khoja went on to say, viruses mutate all the time and change, and this leads to the emergence of new strains of them, and most of these mutations are large and substantial, and some of them may make the virus less dangerous, but other mutations may make it more contagious, so we now find all efforts his position towards urging societies to take Preventive vaccination so that everyone acquires the necessary immunity, and the virus is weakened and faded by the order of God Almighty.
Khoja noted that all existing vaccines to confront Corona are able - God willing - to confront the new strains, but scientifically there are still fears that these strains will gain strength that gives them the ability to spread rapidly and confront vaccines, so the best advice is to adhere to precautionary measures and not to be lax and indulgent, The world is facing a fierce virus that has infected millions - as I mentioned -.
At the conclusion of his speech, Professor Khoja stressed the need to take care of the second dose if the first was taken, and to take care of the first dose if it had not been taken until now, so that there - God willing - a physical immunity through which we can confront the virus and its strains, as we guarantee health protection, With the need to be careful to wear a mask and to apply physical distancing, even if immunization is taken.
