• First, how do you see the demand of global societies in general and Arab societies in particular in taking the Corona vaccinations?
* The turnout is great, and it embodies the extent of social awareness among members of societies in the face of a pandemic that has not been witnessed in human history before. Vaccinations against this ferocious virus are a great achievement to protect humanity. As for the people who hesitate to take the vaccination, I tell them that we are facing a very dangerous pandemic, and vaccination against its virus will guarantee, God willing, the protection of the individual from infection and exposure to its complications.
• Saudi Arabia decided the safe return of school students over the age of 12 at the end of August, and those working in the education sector, in addition to university students and the General Organization for Technical and Vocational Training, after receiving the two doses. How do you see this decision?
* A wise and positive decision that encourages and enhances the status of urban education, and supports the educational system in the continuation of its educational path, and praise be to God, there is a very large response from children in taking the vaccine, which confirms the societal awareness of the importance of immunization, as we see now that there are positive decisions that resulted from the importance and necessity Taking vaccinations, including not entering facilities, malls and commercial centers for those who are not vaccinated, and this confirms the importance of vaccination in protecting society.
• Some people underestimate the importance of the second dose after taking the first. Does this mean that one dose is sufficient?
* Medical studies stressed the need to take care to take two doses against the Corona virus, for two reasons: to protect against infection with mutant, and people who have been infected may not be immune from infection with mutant, secondly to raise the immune rate and prevent infection and serious complications, so receiving two doses of The vaccine increases the rate of protection against mutant infection, as the effectiveness of a single dose is weak against mutant.
• Is it important to wear a mask after completing the two doses?
* Yes, after taking the two doses, the precautionary measures for Corona should not be ignored, including making sure to wear a mask, physical distancing, and making sure to sterilize and wash hands permanently, as the situation until now still requires precaution despite taking the vaccination, as a matter of personal protection and the entire community. The virus is still present because it has virulent properties, and vaccination contributes, God willing, to the individual not entering into serious complications in the event – God forbid – that he is infected after taking the vaccine.
