wearing counterfeit glasses
Dr. Adel Al-Aqili, a consultant retinal surgeon at Magrabi Centers and Hospitals, spoke about the dangers of repeatedly wearing counterfeit glasses.
He said during an interview with Al-Ekhbariya channel: "There is no doubt that the repeated wearing of counterfeit glasses may cause basal cell carcinoma, as studies have mentioned."
He pointed out: "Skin cancer is a layer of skin surrounding the eye as a result of repeated exposure to sunlight," explaining: "The large size of the glasses protects the surrounding areas and is a reason to prevent these problems."
He advised everyone to buy glasses for themselves and their children because they are exposed to the sun throughout their lives, noting: "Prevention is always and is not limited to a certain period."
