Society of Surgery
The Rector of King Abdulaziz University, in charge of appointing Dr. Abdulmalik Muhammad Salih Al-Taf, President of the Saudi General Surgery Society, and the Society''s elections for its new board of directors had taken place earlier during the General Assembly meeting that was held in Al-Hada in the Taif region.
Dr.. Abdul-Malik Al-Taf, associate professor of surgery at King Abdulaziz University and a consultant in bariatric surgery and advanced laparoscopic surgery, holds the American and Canadian Board certificates in surgery, and he is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada. Before returning to the Kingdom, Dr. Altaf worked as a faculty member at Canadian Dalhousie University and as a consultant for general surgery in the state of Nova Scotia. He received scientific awards at the level of Canada. He presented his scientific papers in scientific forums in Canada and the United States, where he was honored by the Canadian Society of General Surgery.
