Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof Adnan Zahed, received at his office on Wednesday 21st December, 2012 Prof Kaneto Uekama, of Sojo University, Japan.
The meeting was attended by Prof Zaini Banjar, Dean of the Faculty Pharmacy, and Dr Abdulmalik Altaf, Head of the Department of Pharmaceutics.
"The meeting served to identify areas of mutual co-operation in scientific research", said Dr Altaf.
Prof Uekama, according to Dr Altaf, has been recruited by the KAU Department of Pharmaceutics in line with KAU's policy of seeking to take advantage of the capacity and expertise of highly cited international academics.
"He will be involved in various scientific activities held by the Department", he added.
