The Saudi Alzheimer''s Disease Society organized yesterday a workshop in King Khalid Hospital and Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Center for Cardiac Surgery in Al-Kharj under the title "Ask me about Alzheimer''s", which was attended by a large number of specialists, interested and health practitioners and carers of Alzheimer''s patients.
The attendees listened to a detailed explanation from Dr. Bandar Al-Aqil, a member of the scientific committee of the association, a consultant psychiatrist for the elderly at the National Guard Hospital in Riyadh, who explained the definitions of Alzheimer''s and those with it and how to deal with them and provide optimal care to them, where Dr. Al-Aqil answered the questions of the attendees who interacted with the workshop And what was presented in it from several axes.
This workshop comes within the framework of the strategy adopted by the society to educate and educate the community about Alzheimer''s disease, its causes and methods of prevention, treatment, rehabilitation and care for those with it. Her Highness Princess Madawi Bint Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Abdul Rahman, Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee, Chairman of the Executive Committee, stated that the society adopted a system of treatment, rehabilitation, educational and scientific services for Alzheimer''s patients and their caregivers, and for the issue of Alzheimer''s disease, which now threatens a broad segment of society.
