Through a visit by His Excellency the Director of Health Affairs to the Maternity and Children Hospital, which began by meeting His Excellency the Director of the Hospital, Dr. Abdul Hamid Al-Bunyan, then reviewed the sites where pediatric cardiology services are provided, including clinics, admission departments, and laboratories. On the tour, he met with the department''s team of consultant doctors and nursing staff headed by Dr. Najla Al-Raja, head of the department who reviewed statistics and information related to pediatric cardiology services, obstacles, and opportunities for improvement. His Excellency praised this remarkable development and qualitative progress, which his happiness considered one of the important goals and pillars of an important improvement project for Al-Ahsa, praising the services provided by the hospital in this field, calling for more efforts to provide better services in advance. It is noteworthy that the hospital’s pediatric cardiac services have contributed to the evaluation and treatment of about 4000 cases during the year 1435 and about 800 cases of evaluation of the hearts of the fetuses, about 400 of them using ultrasound, and the department has performed a large number of evaluations of cardiac physiology and in the first half of this year it appears The results are that the department''s productivity will achieve an increase of more than 30% over the previous year, especially in evaluating the hearts of fetuses.
