Implantation of the bone bridge stethoscope on two sides of the King Abdullah Specialist Ear Center
In a medical achievement that is the first of its kind in the world, a medical team at the King Abdullah Specialist Center for the Ear at King Saud University was able to cultivate the latest technology in the treatment of conductive hearing impairment by implanting the bone bridge stethoscope for the first time in the world in both sides on 7 Dhu al-Hijjah 1433 AH for two patients who were suffering Of my hearing impairment for a long period of time.
King Abdulaziz University Hospital in Riyadh obtained the permission to conduct this type of operation for the first time outside Europe, as it is the largest program for implanting hearing aids in the world despite the local and international competition, in appreciation of the scientific achievements that King Saud University has reached in many fields, including implants.
This operation was carried out by a medical team headed by Dr. Saleh Saqr Al-Omari and it includes Dr. Abdul-Rahman Hajar, director of the fellowship in ear and headphone implantation at King Saud University, Dr. Abdul-Rahman Al-Senussi, head of the cochlear and pale implantation program at King Abdulaziz University Hospital, and Dr. Hassan Al-Shehri.
Dr. Abdul-Rahman Al-Senussi asserted that the Cochlear Implantation Program at King Saud University has become one of the national pride, as it has within a short period of time topped the list of global programs and has become a global reference for treatment, research and knowledge. Dr. Hassan Al-Shehri also expressed his happiness with this achievement and confirmed that King Saud University had a pioneering role in carrying the banner of hearing disability in our dear kingdom.
Dr. Abdul-Rahman Hajar, head of the Saudi ENT who is not specialized in ear surgery and headphone implantation, called for accuracy in showing the correct information to patients, and that the association sets its sights on providing information to all those interested in this field.
