Marei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, and in the presence of the Vice Dean of Jazan University for Student Affairs, Dr. Fatima Aqili, presented the student club at the College of Medicine at Jazan University this Monday evening, February 15, 2021

It''s half past eight in the evening

The awareness forum entitled: Technology and its health and psychological effects through the Zoom program, where His Excellency the President of the University opened the forum by welcoming the attendees and thanking the Medical Students Club and the College of Medicine represented by its Dean, Dr. Anwar Makin being a supporter in the activities and events of the college and the student club, and then a set of themes that bear the following titles were discussed:

1- Vision problems and misuse of technology

Presented by Dr. Faisal Tubaigy, Associate Professor at the College of Medicine and Consultant Ophthalmologist

2- Psychological effects of technology use

Presented by Dr. Rashad Al-Senussi, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Consultant Psychiatrist

3- Joint and bone pain caused by the frequent use of electronic devices

Presented by Dr. Zeinat Khord, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Consultant Orthopedic Surgery

4- Positive use of technology

Submitted by A. Ibrahim Daghiri, Master''s degree in security, information systems and networks, Faculty of Computer Science

5- The family and its educational and psychological role in the world of technology presented by Dr. Musa Al Za’ala, Consultant Pediatric Psychiatrist at the College of Medicine

The forum witnessed a large attendance of nearly one thousand and eight hundred (1800) participants. The forum lasted for two hours, at the end of which many questions were asked by the audience to all the speakers, and the audience expressed their satisfaction and happiness with all the topics of the meeting and their great benefit from it

The meeting concluded with a word of thanks and appreciation from His Excellency the Dean of the College of Medicine to all the speakers and the efforts of the Student Club of the College in providing such programs that bring great benefit to people and serve the community with all its members.
