His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah Region, inspected the King Salman bin Abdulaziz Medical City after the issuance of the noble royal order from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud - may God protect him - to name the “King Salman bin Abdulaziz Medical City” The Madinah Hospitals Complex, which was approved by the Council of Ministers, must transform 3 hospitals in Madinah (the General Hospital, the Women’s Hospital, Maternity and Children’s Hospital, and the Al-Amal Complex for Mental Health) into a medical city as the first integrated city serving the region with a capacity of 1,246 beds.
His Highness was briefed on the medical city''s hospitals and facilities, then watched a visual presentation of all medical departments and their various services provided to beneficiaries at the region level, where the "city" will provide many specialized medical services, including a neuroscience center, a tumor center, a diabetes center, a heart center, a medical rehabilitation center and a research center, in addition to Emergency services and outpatient clinics, as well as the inpatient wards equipped for patients at King Salman Medical City Hospital, as well as the intensive care and operations department, the interventional radiology ward, and other various specialized facilities. Allows movement between the city''s facilities easily and easily, taking into account the preservation of the environment and the urban character of Medina.
Following the tour, Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz confirmed that work is underway, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and relevant authorities, to activate King Salman bin Abdulaziz Medical City as an international Saudi medical edifice - God willing - that keeps pace with the leadership’s ambitions and befits its new name and provides health, medical, treatment and training services to the people of the region and its visitors. Noting what the medical city will constitute a qualitative addition and a leap for the health system in the region.
His Highness, the Emir of Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah region was accompanied on the inspection tour by His Excellency the Mayor of Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah Region, CEO of the Region Development Authority, Eng. Fahd bin Muhammad Al-Bilahishi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah Health Community, Dr. Mahmoud bin Abdul-Jabbar Al-Yamani, District Police Director Major General Mazli Abdul Rahman Al-Mashhan and the Assistant Director of Madinah Traffic, Colonel Faris Al-Awfi And a number of officials in the region.
