temporary headaches for 70% of male and female students

Jeddah: Medical sources revealed that headache and insomnia will affect 70% of students who will sit in school today, as a result of fluctuations in the biological clock responsible for regulating physiological processes in the body, Okaz newspaper reported.

Dr. Khaled Obaid Bawaked, a family and community medicine consultant in Jeddah, attributed the causes of headaches on the first day of the school year to the disturbance of the biological clock due to the different sleeping schedules and the body''s incompatibility with this change.

Dr. points out. I emphasize that this headache is a temporary and unsatisfactory headache that disappears as soon as the daily rhythm of sleep and wakefulness is organized, as when the biological clock is disturbed, the sleep and wake cycles of the individual become severely confused, and it is a grave mistake that some people tend to take medications to bypass this temporary symptom. It causes unpredictable complications.

As for Dr. Nasr El-Din El-Sharif, a consultant for children, he says: Children are more exposed to the fluctuations of the biological clock, as in the summer days they used to stay up for long hours that are compensated during the day. He did not rule out that many children sleep on the first day of the school year due to the disruption of the body''s biological clock.

Dr. continues. Al-Sharif that scientists were able to monitor the location of the biological clock, which is based on organizing schedules and coordinating with the rest of the cells to reach what the body''s activities should be throughout the day.
