3 reasons why a muzzle is required in the stadiums
The Secretary-General of the Federation of Arab Hospitals, Professor of Public Health and Family and Community Medicine, Professor Tawfiq Ahmed Khoja, explained that there are 3 reasons that require wearing a muzzle in sports stadiums This coincides with the decision of the Ministry of Interior regarding health controls that were announced yesterday, noting that sports stadiums host thousands of fans, and therefore they fall within the circle of the places where members of society gather.
Khoja said: The three reasons that require wearing a muzzle in sports stadiums are
1- There are no physical separations for the fans to sit, as the stadiums return to embracing the fans at their full capacity, and therefore the muzzle will protect individuals from the spray that may fly from the fans’ mouths during speech or sports chants.
2- Regardless of all fans getting the two doses, wearing a mask gives more psychological safety, especially since this also ensures that hands do not rub with the nose after touching different surfaces in the stadiums such as elevators, stairs, etc.
3- The need for community members to realize that wearing a muzzle in gathering places closes all the doors of gaps in front of all fierce viruses such as Covid-19 and the seasonal flu virus, and this is a guarantee of not being exposed to any virus - God forbid - in gathering places.
He called on all citizens and residents, who have been 6 months since the completion of their vaccination in two doses, to quickly obtain the booster dose, as stated in the directives of the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Health, explaining that the importance of this dose lies in the fact that it gives the immune system additional strength, as the response of antibodies The intermediate T cells are very strong, in addition to the body''s ability to confront the new strains that are produced due to mutations of the virus, and therefore the person who receives the booster dose will be more able to confront the new strains, and the reason is the strength of the new strains to spread and penetrate into human bodies.
Khoja advised the need to take care of healthy nutrition, exercise, including walking, give the body enough sleep and rest, drink water and fresh juices, limit caffeine drinks, stop smoking completely, take care to take the booster dose on time, avoid bad news and pay attention to news. Positive, with the need to continue to apply all precautionary measures, including wearing a mask, and distancing in places where the immunization status is not verified.
