Jazan University: Media Center The director of the Jazan University in charge of the professor, Dr. Muhammad bin Ali Rabie, stressed that scientific research represents the focal point of the university, in addition to its interest in the researcher being the main axis in the overall research process. Dr. Rabie pointed out that the university is keen to support the Deanship of Scientific Research and its projects, research centers and initiatives, enhance agreements and attract competencies, and support equipment to provide a stimulating research environment for researchers and the research process at the university.
Dr. Al-Rabie added that everyone understands the importance of scientific research in the advancement and progress of nations, and it is the cornerstone of the renaissance and development of peoples.
This came in his speech during the ceremony honoring the winners of the Jazan University Prize for Scientific Research, which was held yesterday at the Grand Celebration Hall theater at the university''s senior management headquarters in the presence of university agents, faculty deans, supporting deanships, and a number of members of the university faculty and guests of the award.
The Dean of Scientific Research at Jazan University, Dr. Rashad bin Muhammad Al-Senussi, gave the speech of the award, confirming that the university began early in supporting research programs, as the beginning of the academic year 1430/1431 AH was five researches, including approximately 500 thousand riyals, and this support accelerated to reach 4 and a half million to support 72 Also, the number of published researches in the classified international scientific journals has increased, reaching 28 in 2010 and the number increased in 2013 to 224 published.
After that, the names of the award-winning research groups were announced in its first session of the year 1435/1436 AH, then the award for financial support of more than one million riyals for scientific research was announced, for which the total value of their support exceeded more than 16 million riyals.
After that, the names of the winners of the award of the citation for scientific research that were achieved by a number of faculty members at the university and research centers in various scientific disciplines were announced.
In conclusion, the university’s assigned director, Professor Muhammad bin Ali Rabie, honored the jury committees, support committees and the award supervisors.
