The colon and rectal surgery team at King Fahd Specialist Hospital in Tabuk succeeded in conducting the first eradication of a cancerous tumor of fifties in the colon using a speculum, after suffering from repeated bleeding.
The team leader, consultant colon, colorectal, and endometrial tumor surgery at the hospital, Dr. Sami Al-Asari, explained that the cases of tumors, colon and rectum have become received on a referral system to the hospital and in the designated clinic. It is considered the first among men, and the third among women in the Kingdom, which requires intensifying efforts in the hospital to provide the necessary and urgent care for this.
