Care Center at "Abha Staff"
The Primary Health Care Center in the Staff Quarter in Abha launched the Nutrition Clinic, in the presence of the Deputy Assistant Director-General of Public Health, Dr. Issa Yazid Al-Ghazwani, the Director of the Nutrition Department Specialist Abdullah Saeed Awashz, the Director of the Staff Health Center Sultan bin Moaid Al-Qahtani, the Coordinator of the Nutrition Clinics in Public Health Dr. Samah Al-Raheili and the Supervisor of Nursing at the Center Noura Al-Saqaei, outreach officer Nabila Al-Barqi, nutritionist Majed Al-Hassan, and nutritionist Amna Ahmed Saleh.
The clinic aims to combat chronic diseases and limit their spread by promoting healthy lifestyles with proper nutrition and an active life. It is operated by a qualified team of male and female dietitians, and similar clinics are being opened in Al-Misk Health Center and Al-Sinaiyah Health Center in Khamis.
The clinic will operate every Tuesday of every week, as it provides healthy food programs for all patients of the centers, including diabetes, heart, kidney, blood pressure, and cholesterol patients, or overweight and obese patients, as well as those suffering from thinness. The diet program during pregnancy and lactation is also provided, medical consultations are provided to patients and provide them with publications. Nutritional counseling and referral of those requiring referral to obesity and nutrition clinics in hospitals.
