A medical team from King Fahd Medical City has conducted a medical team that ends the suffering of a patient with urinary incontinence with a belt tape technique. The first technology in the Gulf region.

Dr. Maher Saleh Moazin, consultant endoscopic surgery, male and male infertility and urology, head of the surgical team, said that the patient, after undergoing a prostatectomy, whose complications include the loss of the urethral valve, has become suffering from the continuity of urinary incontinence resulting from the prostate affected by tumors.

Muezzin stated that placing the belt tape under the urethra was a more successful option for the patient, as this technique facilitates the patient’s effort and better controls the urinary control process, noting that there are several processes that help improve urine control and prevent urinary incontinence, such as placing a valve with a balloon and it is among the most. The methods are complicated due to the patient following the balloon filling process with the urethral valve, but the belt band technique is considered the best and the latest in this field.

Dr. Maher Al-Muezzin added: This technique reduces the process of infection, skin deformities, urine return rate, and it is easy to use and non-stressful for patients, works under local anesthesia, does not affect the erection process, and is less affected by infection. It is noteworthy that among the medical team is Dr. Ali bin Mahfouz, a consultant urologist.
