excellence!
I feel proud and proud when I hear or see the girls of my country who are distinguished in all scientific, literary and humanitarian fields. Last week, I was hosted by the Doctors Diwan, supported by Sheikh Abdulaziz Al-Turki, the guest of honor, Dr. Howayda Obaid Al Qathami is one of the pioneering women in the world of medicine in the Kingdom and the world, as she is the first consultant for cardiac surgery in the Middle East and the second in the world in the presidency of heart surgery and the first consultant in pediatric heart surgery and birth defects in adults at Prince Sultan Center in Riyadh. Al-Qathami reviewed her scientific and practical career and the awards and honors she received for her great achievements in the field of medicine at the Arab and international levels, in a diwaniyya that its administrators excelled in being prepared, well-received and organized, in the forefront of which was Sheikh Abdulaziz Al-Turki, who launched the Diwaniya of Doctors on 3/29/2013 as the first medical diwaniyya that gathered The most famous doctors in rare health specialties and medical leaders in the eastern region and upon it are Saudi men and women, including the media, among them the student and the volunteer, so thanks to all of them, and I look forward to seeing such initiatives in my country, and I am honored to attend and shed light on them in my articles because they are a pride for the homeland and the people of the country . Every day that passes, Saudi women face many obstacles and obstacles, but they have resisted them and have become a prominent position and have become a strong peer and competitor to men in all fields, and whoever explores the creativity of Saudi women will find something that delights him, so I am very proud of what Saudi women have achieved in all The fields, not just the field of medicine, in which the number of female doctors is still very small The statistical book issued by the Ministry of Health for the year 1436 revealed that the number of doctors working in the Kingdom reached 71 thousand male and female doctors, including 17 thousand Saudi male and female doctors, and 5500 of them are Saudi female doctors. We have Saudi women doctors who are proud of them, like Dr. Fahda Al-Shabeeb is an eye consultant, to which the German hospital refers accurate cases, and one of the Western doctors says about her, rebuking the people of the country (How do you send students to study abroad, and you have Dr. Fahda) and the guest of honor of the Doctors Diwaniya, Dr. Howayda Al-Qathami is a consultant in cardiac surgery, chosen from among 50 distinguished women in the world, and is considered the first and only woman in the Arab world in pediatric cardiac surgery (one of the girls who is most keen on her veil and modesty). Dr.. Faten Khorshid is a Saudi researcher who has found a treatment for one of the fiercest types of cancer, "lung cancer" and head of the Cell and Tissue Transplant Unit at the King Fahd Center for Medical Research (her photo appeared in newspapers wearing the niqab). Dr.. Wafa Fakih obtained the Arab fellowship in 1989, a consultant obstetrician and gynecologist who achieved the first global achievement in medical history for her work by implanting a woman who lost her uterus years ago. Professor Samira Islam won the UNESCO World Prize dedicated to women achieving scientific achievement around the world among more than four hundred distinguished women. Dr.. Hayat Cindy is a woman with the admiration of famous scholars, she was chosen as a member of the Council of Outstanding Scholars, she also obtained the recognition of the Department of Astrophysics in Canisbury and became a member of the faculty of the College of Medicine at the University of Cambridge, and Dr. Salwa Al-Hazaa, a prominent ophthalmologist, graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, was the first in her class, the first Saudi female doctor specializing in retinal diseases and heredity, and the first Arab woman to treat micro-retinal diseases with laser. Dr.. Suad Al Jaber discovered the germ that causes stomach ulcers as a consultant pediatrician at King Abdulaziz Hospital in Jeddah. Dr.. Ilham Abu Al-Jadayel discovered the genetic code, and as a result of her work in research involving killing white blood cells, she discovered that these cells turn when they come into contact with a vital substance into basic cells called stem cells. Medicine is a human profession. The percentage of Saudi women doctors and nurses is still very small. Parents should encourage their daughters to study medicine, and universities, colleges of medicine and allied medical sciences should increase the acceptance rates and review the registration policy. Our country is in dire need to open the way for girls and men to study medicine more broadly than it is now and to reduce Acceptance rates for theoretical majors that have no place in the labor market. What distinguishes Saudi women is the presence of culture, determination, persistence, and the challenge of difficult circumstances, which made them succeed in all fields, despite the frustrations facing women’s job opportunities, and in light of the Kingdom’s efforts to support women’s education and sending them abroad to obtain the highest scientific certificates, I believe that the concerned authorities must solve the obstacles they face Saudi women searching for job opportunities and finding suitable employment opportunities, as most unemployed women are university students, so women''s participation in the Saudi labor market is essential to ensuring the upgrading of the Kingdom''s economy. I also look forward to increasing the percentage of Saudi women workers in the private and public sector and encouraging employers to open women''s departments and increase the feminization of some suitable jobs. For women working in the Kingdom.
