second day of the ophthalmology conference
The Saudi Ophthalmology Meeting 2015 continued for its second day, as the scientific program consisted of 13 sessions, consisting of 60 scientific papers, including the lecture of the "Gold Medal Award" of the Saudi Ophthalmology Society, presented by Dr. Eberhart Zrenner, "Germany", professor of ophthalmology at the University of Tübingen in Germany Entitled "Implantation of different electronic chips for patients with visual loss, which is currently being developed".
The first sessions of the program were held under the chairmanship of Dr. Othman Al-Omar and managed by Dr. Saad Al-Harbi, in which he reviewed "corrective eye surgeries" and included 5 scientific papers presented by Dr. Khaled Abdel-Rahman, Dr. Adel Al-Rashoud, Dr. Thomas Cohenino and Dr. Ahmed Samir.
Dr. Sami Al-Shahwan chaired the second session and it was about research and developments in glaucoma surgery, and it was moderated by Dr. Faisal Al-Mubarak, and Dr. Anjiborg Stallmans, Dr. Norbert Korber, Dr. Donald Minkler and Dr. Malik Cahock participated in it.
Dr. Saba Al-Rasheed led a session on "Retinal Problems and Diseases", moderated by Dr. Marwan Abu Amou, in which Dr. Eberhart Zariner, Dr. Lyndon Da Cruz, Dr. Saba Al-Rasheed, Dr. Nisha Patel and Dr. Lyn Abu Safia participated in it.
Also d head. Hatem Clinton seated on "White Water Treatments and Surgeries", moderated by Dr. Abdul Majeed Al-Sheiha, and d. Jarman Al-Qahtani and Dr. Roberto Bellucci and Dr. Rajiv Khan Deskar.
After that, he sat under the title "Diseases of the glands and tear ducts," headed by Dr. Amal al-Maliki and managed by d. Ayman Al-Ayoubi, and Dr. Raman Malhotra and Dr. Yasser Al-Feki and Dr. Alisha Qalendo.
This was followed by a session on "The Difficulties Facing Blue Water", chaired by Dr. Dawood Al-Rashed and managed by d. Essam Othman, and each of Dr. Donald Minkler and Dr. Malik Cahock and Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jadaan and Dr. Tariq Al-Asbali and Dr. Saad Al-Shamrani and Dr. Iman Al Hussein and Dr. Angie Borg Stallmans and Dr. Susan Senft.
After that, a session was held chaired by Dr. Abdullah Al-Asiri entitled "Treatments and surgeries of white water", moderated by Dr. Turki Al-Turki, and Dr. Yemeni Abu Bakr and Dr. Thomas Cohenin and Dr. Saleh Al-Amro and Dr. Ahmed Al-Mu''tasim and Dr. Roberto Bellucci.
Then began his session on "Research in the field of optics" chaired by: Dr. Mansour Rabie and management d. Suhay Al-Mousa, and Dr. Philip Arloyev.
Also d head. Osama Al Sheikh session on "Diseases and Surgery of the Eyelids", moderated by Dr. Ahmed Al Salem, and each of the d. Raman Malhotra and Dr. Alisha Qalando and Dr. Adel Al-Suhaibani and Dr. John Joseph Martin.
After that, a session entitled "Developments in the field of corneal surgery" was chaired by Dr. Sabah Jastneh and moderated by Dr. Majed Al-Kharashi, with the participation of Dr. Ali Al-Rajhi, Dr. Shigero Conchita, Dr. Ayman Al-Rashed and Dr. Samir Al-Shawqi.
And Dr. Hala Naseem held a session on "Cosmetic Eyelid Surgery", moderated by Dr. Alisha Qalando, and Dr. John Martin and Dr. Raman Malhotra and Dr. Adel Al-Suhaibani.
At the end of the day, a workshop on treatments for high eye pressure "glaucoma" was held, headed by Dr. Nasser Al-Youssef and managed by d. Abdul Salam Al-Turjuman, and d. Donald Minkler and Dr. Malik Cahock and Dr. Norbert Corber and Dr. Susan Senft and Dr. Angie Borg Stallmans and Dr. Peter Netland.
