A medical team at the Maternity and Children Hospital in Al-Ahsa recently succeeded in performing a bladder inversion correction operation for a newborn in the hospital, in an operation that is considered the first of its kind at the governorate level.
Thanks to God, the medical staff, led by consultant pediatric surgeon Dr. Muhammad Omar Al-Mughanem, Head of the Department of Pediatric Surgery, was able to perform a process of correcting and repairing a bladder inversion of a newborn after 24 hours of birth, as it is considered a rare case (1 in 100,000 newborns).
Al-Ahsa health indicated that such operations are carried out in specialized international centers with experience, so that the maternity hospital registers an achievement that will be added to the records of excellence and success it has achieved.
