A specialized medical team performed the first endoscopic sinus operation at Ahad Rufaida Hospital for a 28-year-old woman.
The patient came to the hospital with chronic sinusitis with headache and loss of sense of smell for two years.
The operation was performed by a team led by a number of otorhinolaryngologists, consisting of consultant otorhinolaryngologist Dr. Ali Al-Zerai, Dr. Ali Al-Barqi, anesthesia specialist Dr. Osama Muhammad, anesthesia technician Saud Duker, and operations nurse Sultana Al-Shahrani.
